LEARN TO FLY!

Stanford’s Aeronautical & Astronautical department is excited to offer free ground school for any student, faculty or university affiliate interested in flying.

Ever wanted to be a pilot? This 6 week course will prepare you for the FAA written exam that is required to become a private pilot. In ground school, you learn all the required pilot training from the ground to save time and improve safety while training in the air! In this course, we will cover aerodynamics, weather, different airspaces, communicating with air traffic control and more! Completion of ground school builds confidence, clear communication skills, and quantitative competency that are beneficial for any career path.

WHEN: Mondays starting January 24th from 5:00 – 6:30 PM 

WHERE: Room 320-105 (Geocorner of Main Quad) or remote zoom option avaible as well!

** Febuary 21st lecture will be on zoom to obsereve Presidents day**

WHY: Now is the time to learn with this no experience required course!
